Who am I?

Neo-Ruralis a term used to describe people like me, who spend the first part of their life in the city (for me, it was in Lyon, in the field of professional photography), before moving permanently to the country. Quite often, “neo-rurals” from Lyon move South towards the Drome region to drastically change life style, which I did in 2000. While looking for a fixer-upper in the region, I found an old farm, uninhabited for the last thirty years, facing the Vercors chain, two steps from the small city of Romans. I fell in love with it, and then the hard work began!

And where is wine in all of this?  I always have loved the process of discovering new wines, keeping them as a treasure in a dark cellar, and digging them up to share them in their glory with friends and fine food.  So I decided to make the appreciation and sharing of fine wine more than just a hobby.

Beginnings: a year of study in Burgundy followed by a Masters in International Wine Marketing and Sales (Esnad, Dijon).  These studies provided training in viticulture and enology, and allowed for numerous visits to foreign vineyards.
The next step: the design of a visitor’s center, complete with a tasting room to receive my guests in the best conditions. Latest developments: the design of the present website to expose my point of view about French Artisanal Wines. A pursuit that I intend to be both political and epicurean, with the goal of defending the diversity of taste in French wine to help preserve the viticultural patrimony of rural France.
